Siobhán Wilder paints scenes in oil on small wooden panels. Her work is influenced by the seascapes of Thierry De Cordier, Antonio López Garcia’s interiors and Charles Paget Wade’s collections at Snowshill, England.

“My paintings are a conversation with the viewer which starts while I’m working in a tiny studio high up in the northeast corner of an old house. The panels they're on are tiny but the scenes take months to complete because they're painted in many layers. The panels themselves are small to be like something from a cabinet of curiosities - peculiar bits of the world collected to be examined close up.”
